About Me
Shireen Muhiudeen is a fund manager based in South East Asia. Shireen founded Corston-Smith Asset Management in 2004 and has been managing institutional funds for 32 years. Shireen Muhiudeen has a deep interest in ESG issues, which she believes is at the core of any sustainable and responsible business.
Shireen started her fund management career in 1988 at Arab Malaysian Merchant Bank. She then continued her career in fund management at Bumiputra Merchant Bankers. In 1992, she joined AIG Investment Corporation. She left AIG Investment Corporation in early 2004. She was the CEO and was managing emerging Asia markets. Her primary markets during her tenure was Malaysia, Indonesia and India.
Corston-Smith emphasizes responsible fund management in the South East Asia region. Corston-Smith was an early signatory to the UNPRI in 2008, and remains committed to ESG engagement with their portfolio companies.
